An overflowing stockroom.

This week is the stocktake.  We count everything in the stockroom and update our stock levels.  Each member of the team is responsible for a different outlet.  Mine is our Official Online Shop, which means I am in the stockroom up at Mountjoy. 

The funny thing about retail is that your best and worst feelings are experienced in the stockroom.  It can fill you with joy when everything is neat, tidy and easily found.  It can also fill you with dread when you’ve had what seems like a million deliveries and there is no room to breathe anymore. 

The great thing about an overflowing stockroom is that you’ve got lots to sell!  All of our new stock (which is not up on our website) is packed up and ready to go.  It is exciting, bringing out new lines and seeing the ideas of the team take shape. 

It is going to be a mammoth task for all of us but I’m sure we can pull through and count every single thing we sell.
